We recommend and supply ‘Military Specification’ Rugged Computers proven to handle the toughest conditions. There is also an option of an Intrinsically Safe Kiosk Computer for use inside a magazine. Where data network is available in proximity to Magazine sites, a Kiosk Style rugged Computer can be used, if networking is unavailable, a rugged portable tablet can be used (Note: portable tablets cannot be used inside a Magazine).

Data is collected at the Magazine on either a Rugged Touchscreen Panel Computer (networked) or a Rugged Touchscreen Tablet Computer (portable).
Administration and Reporting services are available to any networked PC via authorised access.
Item movements are recorded using single touch finger presses, the solution does NOT use or require a keyboard, mouse, digipad, stylus or other input device.
Biometric Login/Logout/Signing of item movement and stocktake records - no need to remember pin, carry swipe cards etc

Client: Data collection using an intrinsically safe Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) running Microsoft Windows Mobile software.
Server: Centralised data reporting server, automated alert messaging and system Administration.
The PDA hardware and software is used to scan barcodes related to individual stock items ie: explosives and allows for the entry of parameters against those barcodes. These Principally take on the form of the date and time of recording; the signed on user; the stock item; and the quantity and movement state of the stock which can be one of:
Inward (excess returns to magazine)
Outward (booked out for use)
Receival (goods received from supplier)
Stocktake
Transfer (movement of goods between stocktake locations)
Return to supplier of unused or out of date stock
After the data has been collected, the PDA is then cradled and it's data is synchronised with a backend database Server hosting the Web based reporting and data administration tools.
